Congratulations to Staffs Girls team member Emily Sutton (Walsall) on a fantastic performance in the St Andrews Links Trust Junior Ladies' Open winning the Girls' Open Quaich 2012!
This is an 18 hole qualifying scratch and handicap match play tournament for ladies under 23 years of age. The scratch winner of the 18 hole qualifying and match play competition is awarded the Golf Monthly Trophy and the handicap winner is presented with the Girls' Open Quaich.
The qualifying round and the early matchplay stages were played on the Strathtyrum Course with the matchplay final being played on the Old Course.
Her older brother Daniel played in the St Andrews Boys Open, qualified in the scratch tournament and reached the semi-finals so it was a successful week in St Andrews for both Emily and her brother.
